CEPS assumption for the device category.
Rank 08 · NdFeB application
Air-conditioning unit or heat pump
They may be found in variable-speed permanent-magnet compressors and in fan and pump drives. The refrigerant and disposal system must be handled separately.

No model-specific BOM was found. Compressor and fan technologies differ; not every unit contains the same magnet mass.
Original application & recovery
Where magnets are located in an air-conditioning system or heat pump
Its position within the device helps with identification, but does not in itself establish the alloy, weight or eligibility for purchase.
Location within the equipment
They may be found in variable-speed permanent-magnet compressors and in fan and pump drives. The refrigerant and disposal system must be handled separately.
System boundary
NdFeB per unit as a literature factor. Foreign parts, housings, shafts, back irons, supports and other device components are not automatically included in the magnet mass.
Record before submitting an enquiry
- Identify the unit, compressor and motor design
- Clarify the refrigerant and WEEE status
- Do not estimate magnet mass from the appliance weight
