In the rotor of a hub or mid-drive motor. In a hub motor, the permanent magnets are arranged in a ring on the rotating housing around the stator.

System boundary
NdFeB per drive as a literature reference. Foreign parts, housings, shafts, back irons, supports and other device components are not automatically included in the magnet mass.
Record before submitting an enquiry
- Document the motor manufacturer, model and year
- Assess hub and mid-drive motors separately
- Clearly separate the 0.160 kg individual case from the 0.27–0.35 kg factors
