Rank 07 · NdFeB application
Industrial pump
In the rotor of a permanent-magnet motor or in a magnetic coupling. The pump, motor and coupling must be treated as separate system boundaries.

A 39.58 g sample from a single study is not a whole-device value. Pumps without a permanent-magnet motor may contain 0 kg in the drive.
Original application & recovery
Where magnets are located in industrial pumps
Its position within the device helps with identification, but does not in itself establish the alloy, weight or eligibility for purchase.
Location within the equipment
In the rotor of a permanent-magnet motor or in a magnetic coupling. The pump, motor and coupling must be treated as separate system boundaries.
System boundary
NdFeB per pump as a literature factor. Foreign parts, housings, shafts, back irons, supports and other device components are not automatically included in the magnet mass.
Record before submitting an enquiry
- Identify the pump and motor type from their nameplates
- Identify the magnetic coupling and rotor separately
- Do not apply the generic factor to every model
