Disc and cylinder magnetsDisc and cylindrical shapes cannot be identified as NdFeB by appearance alone. Documentation, dimensions, how consistently the lot is sorted and origin are relevant to the initial assessment.→

Net magnet mass
Do not include steel, adhesive, shafts, housings, plastic or packaging.
Shape & dimensions
Describe each lot as blocks, rings, discs, cylinders, segments or broken material.
Condition
Document the coating, corrosion, magnetisation, breakage, oil, water and foreign materials.
Origin
Identify the equipment, component, manufacturer, model, process stage and batch.
Supporting evidence
Provide the nameplate, datasheet, grade code, CoA or analysis that applies to the lot.
