Permanent-magnet MRI systems
In the scanner’s large permanent-magnet system and its magnetic return yoke. The system design must be clearly identified before any quantity is assumed.

Apply only to MRI systems with NdFeB permanent magnets. Superconducting MRI systems must not be included by default.

System boundary
NdFeB per confirmed permanent-magnet MRI scanner. Foreign parts, housings, shafts, back irons, supports and other device components are not automatically included in the magnet mass.

- Clarify the medical-device, ownership and decommissioning status
- Do not dismantle powerful large magnets yourself
